Hole 6 is probably the most mentally challenging hole on the course. The elevated tee accentuates the out of bounds danger on the left, known locally as the ‘Doonie’ brae. Many balls find their final resting place at the foot of the steep slope.
The long and narrow raised green is located close to the out of bounds on the left with rough to the rear. An accurate and bold tee shot is required to hit the green avoiding the down-sloping embankments around three sides.
